Photography for Beginners
About This Class
Welcome to the PHOTOGRAPHY FOR BEGINNERS Class, a foundational course to teach you how to take control of your camera settings and improve your photography.
I recommend you aim to finish the course in a minimum of 4 weeks, but a maximum of 6. Put a time frame on your learning to ensure your completion success. The lessons are designed to be viewed weekly.
You can find each lesson in this class on this page a bit further down all in the one place (no clicking around and getting lost between different lessons and classes!), which begins with a video from me and includes an optional audio download of the lesson, in case you’d like to re-listen to it again in the car or on the bus.
Each lesson has tasks you need to complete and submit, to get the most from the class content. These can be found directly below the video lessons. Your tasks can be submitted to the Photography Forum – this is recommended to gain feedback, valuable to your learning. I’ve also included links to further reading for each lesson where appropriate, to ensure your learning is well rounded and extended beyond the knowledge I have to share.
Community Support
I choose to surround myself with brilliant women (and men!) who understand that we can all make it, together. I invite you to join my private online groups to share your experiences, issues, achievements, advice and encouragement with each other, because business is not a race, it’s an adventure, and we all need to have each others’ backs to reach the summit.
As part of your enrolment in this class, you have access to join the private Makers Academy Forums. The forums are for asking any questions specific to this class or any of the other classes in the Makers Academy. Please direct any and all questions you have for me via this group, so your fellow students can benefit from the answer also!
We also have an “open to anyone” Makers’ Community group, which is a vibrant and supportive environment that I encourage you to join and invite any of your creative friends to join also. This group is for anyone who makes, in any capacity, who is interested in building that creative passion into a profitable business.
I’d love to see you share your results from all the tasks in this class in the Photography Forum, to help, encourage and inspire others improve their business photography too!
